Flyff, or Fly For Fun, is a 3D, cartoony fantasy MMORPG. Beginner job classes include: Acrobat (Archer), Assist (Healer/Buffer), Magician (Mage), and Mercenary (Warrior). Flyff has a unique flying system where characters gain the ability to fly in game after they reach a certain level, making it much easier to travel and reach hunting / questing spots. Being able to fly also adds an entirely new layer of game play as players are able to explore places they normally wouldn’t be able to reach.

Fly For Fun Overview
Fly For Fun, or Flyff, is a 3D animated fantasy MMORPG. In Flyff, the experience for new players is enjoyable, and you will quickly move from one camp of monsters to the next as you level up. You start as a jobless “Vagrant” and kill monsters outside the first city until you reach level 15, at which point you can choose your first job. The four starting jobs after level 15 are Acrobat [Archer], Mercenary [Warrior], Assist [Healer/Priest] and Magician.

Fly for Fun, better know as FlyFF is a 3-D, Animated-Style, Fantasy MMORPG. It’s currently run by Gala-Net in correspondence with G-Potato. The game incorporates classic RPG styles with a blend of humor and a more wholesome, family-friendly version of RPG fun. Like most Free-to-Play games, Flyff has a cash item shop where players are able to purchase bonus items. They may also purchase novelty items such as funny and cute costumes that can go over your current armor, making you able to change your appearance without having to decrease your stats. The Cash Shop also offers pets, such as a Penguin, Hamster, over even a Cheeseburger. As the name suggests, a major part of the game is flight. Instead of ground mounts, FlyFF players are mounted up on brooms or air boards, yes like the one from Back to the Future, and travel in the sky to go between the isles in the spirit of hunting, questing, and overall adventuring fun.

Game Play Basics:
Like most MMORPG’s, Flyff uses a simple game interface that is familiar to anyone who has touched an MMORPG before. There is an item bag, character status menu, equipment menu, and skill action bar where you can hotkey skills, actions, or emotes. There is also a little fellow who acts as a help guide when there are things that you don’t quiet understand. The graphics, while not overly fancy, are not completely horrible either. They stick with a traditional Manwha (Korean-Manga) style that goes very well with the background and story, even if they can make things seem a little block-like, at least it’s up there with early PS2 RPG games. You can control that game with the mouse and/or keyboard for interaction with other characters/monsters/NPCS.
Features:
As mentioned earlier, one of FlyFF main points is the in-game flying that allows traveling to different places on the world map that you can not otherwise get too on foot. The world is a collection of floating isles, each with their own towns, dungeons, bosses, and monsters. The game play has a Class-Evolution system, in which getting to a certain level allows your to change into a higher form of your current job class, a Pet system, and the ability to buy ‘Costumes’ in the Cash Shop to change your outer appearance without having to swap out your combative armor. There are boss monsters that wander the fields and dungeons of practically every mob, along with pre-dropped quest items for quest chains.

Class Overview:
Like other MMORPG’s ,such as Ragnarok Online, Flyff starts you off with a beginner class called a Vagrant, and just like other games that have the “Prequel Starter Class”, it is basically a tutorial that is 15 levels long. Despite FlyFF being an fun game, it doesn’t hide the fact very well that it is a heavy grinder and right away, you are thrown into a kill to level trend. It’s nice to point out that your stats will reset after you pick an actual class, so for all those future mages, archers, and healers out there, don’t be too worried about putting your points in strictly damage and attack. After level 15, you are allowed to pick from the following classes:
The Acrobat:
Acrobats are the Rogue Class of FlyFF. They are proficient in the use of Bows or Yo-Yo’s (duel-wielded type of weapon). Their outfits consist of Ranger, I’m talking about Lone Ranger, styled outfits, complete with cowboy hats and boots. Class-evolution lets you choose between a Ranger (bow mastery) or a Jester (Yo-Yo Mastery).
The Assist:
Assists are the Priest Class of FlyFF. They are the main source for Buffing, Healing, and overall good things that can improve your performance. If you choose not to be a healer, which means you would evolve into a Ringmaster, the second option is to be a Billposter. Billposters, maybe questionably the must self-sufficient class in the entire game, can not only buff themselves, but also have devastating attacks using a fist and shield.

The Magician:
Magician are the Mage classes FlyFF, obviously. They specialize in magical damage and the elements for attacking, and then eventually for buffing also. If going for demonic forces and mental prowess, then a Psykeeper is up your alley as a choice for a second class. If you’re looking for AoE (Area of Effect) spells, a little buffing, and elemental attacks, then you’re better off choosing an Elementor as a second class change.
The Mercenary:
Mercenaries are the warrior class of FlyFF. If you enjoy being the best DPS (damage per second) in a game, I suggest choosing the role of a duel-wielding, sword swinging, damaging Blade Class. If you rather be completely indispensable in a party, but healing isn’t your thing, there is always the option of the ever useful, tanking class of the Knight.
Closing Remarks:
FlyFF is a game that’s fun to pick up and play as long as you have a group of friends to play with. If your circle of friends is strong and useful, playing for long periods of time won’t burn you out too much. As a soloing game though, it’s gets very hard and very tedious very quickly with it’s heavy grinding and repetitive quests. While the dungeons are fun to crawl though and some of the quests actually involve a worldly interactive story line, the bulk of it is filled with kill ‘this many’ or collect ‘this many’ questing. There are also many gold spammers in the main cities. Some of the upside to this game though is the many events the game has that allows those of us who don’t have very much cash to spare for items to grab things that we’d would otherwise have to pay for.

mmmm The gameplay was fun, but the quests and grinding were quite boring. This game is deffinately for the younger audience.
One of the best games that I’ve ever played. I probably spent most of my time playing this game. More than WoW!!! I really dunno why, but it was fun as heck. I only left it because of all the new changes that they made. Which disappoints me alot……….. Ah I miss the times I did play it though and wish I had someone to play it with. I prefer the old way of playing the game, but I’m sure it’s still a great game. I’d give anything to go back 3 years and play it again as the way it was then and with all my friends on it. I may be over-exaggerating but i really enjoyed this game and any young kid would. It’s probably not as big of a game for an older person. but for young teens and below I would reccommend it. I might just play again just cause of the memories!
It’s so nice to play it!!by the way,you mage must use wand(psychipers) or staff(elementors),mercenary sword(knight) or axe(blade),assist knuckle(BP) for attacking and stick(RM) for buffs and for the acrobats are bow(ranger) or yoyo(jester)
its an AWSOME GAME levling up to lvl 15 and 20 is rewarding 15 you can get a job mercenary acrobat mage assist etc.and other classes later on at lvl 60 the game is fun going in to a deep dark dungoen with your friends in a party it feels like war fighting serus ureil at the end of mars dungoen you should try it out defenatly worth the download oh but 1 drawback is grinding but this game owns all
oh and lvl 20 you can fly and the music isnt really that bad but its a little repetative
WOW!! Lol, in the video , when she is in the Haunt On Nyangyang, My character runs past when she begins fighting, and when she’s done, you see mee fighting… thats weird. But cool!
well rounded, great graphics especially for cartoon oriented, doesnt matter how old u r to play it, its just another mmorpg. the classes are well thought up and the skills are all balanced, the party system is a little odd, u hardly ever see people actually teaming up on monsters, more like a person leeching off of another person for experience while they watch them fight, the rare occasions when u do team up to fight isnt even on giants. its when ur lvl80-90+ usually (which takes a looooong time to get to even if ur plvled the whole way) and its only through a guild which might b trashed after u do the quest because it can only b done once! if u ask me the whole multiplayer portion of it needs work but if u dont mind a lot of soloplay its a great game but the areas are a little small until u hit the higher lvls, its like they give u a tiny lick of ice cream one lick at a time until ur lvl90 then bam u start getting gallons thrown at u and then once u eat it all its gone and ur bored (strange analogy i know but it fits more than u would think) worth the playing time if ur bored, definitely keep u occupied and he’s right it was better a couple years back
i agree it was much better a cuple years back i dont remember it well cuse i was just turning 10 im 13 now its still good but the old one was much better but i have to admitt there are some parts of the game that have impoved bye alot and i mean alot, but they change certin partrs of the game so that they suck like flying on a broom\bored we use to be able to fly on a clud or a pet i miss the good old days lol anyway ttyl
1.) large bored community. often go to full shouts to bring up drama
2.) for a game called fly for fun, there basically is no flying/fighting system. hell, they took out the only flying/lvling system they had
3.) very cash shop oriented. you’ll need to invest at least 20 bucks to survive after lvl 60
4.) bad bgm
5.) half of the community speaks broken english or no english at all
6.) what flying mounts???
7.) i can only name 3 dungeons at the top of my head (flairs, sm, dekan)
8.) dont expect alot of help from GM’s
8.) boring grind oriented. 1 quest per lvl and less as you progress. usually go get X amount of items from monsters (ie grind)
God i hated this game…Grinidng is really hard….Im a hardcore gamer but i mean seriously…after lvl 15 it wont let u gain exp until u get a job which SUCKS.
Grinding is slow and tedious…now ive given this game lots of time…but really if u try this game you will probably regret it…
AWSOMEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!! IM EDICTED TO IT I CANT LIVE WITHOUT IT XD
fun at lvl one sucked over all
My opinion… don’t get into it. Everybody on it is a zombie and slave to the addiction. It isn’t fun. At all. Just addicting. Its a click, watch, heal up, cry when your dead, repeat game. The quests are just redirections on making you grind AGAIN. Its pointless. Once you get to level 120, (good luck getting to 40…) its pointless. You can parade around… and… try to stay alive when versing the new high leveled monsters. But you won’t. Anyways, like I said, its a grinding game, and its hard to even do that because it takes an ENTIRE DAY to get one level up after about level 35. No joke. Its pretty bad. This was a very opinionated comment, and frankly I DON’T CARE! IT SUX IT SUX IT SUX IT SUX IT SUX!!!!!!! WASTE OF MY LIFE THAT I WISH I NEVER SPENT TIME WASTING ON SUCH RUBBISH AND GARBAGE THAT CONFOUNDED MY BRAIN AND MIND AND FORCED ME TO DO DESPICABLE THINGS… *sobbing*…
The graphics in FLYFF are amazing there pretty and realistic. The thing that annoys me the most is as you get to higher levels ,the grinding, at one point I only got .10% for a single monster that’s was annoying. Jobs are cool. The quest are ok. The flying part of the game not really developed so title is sorta misleading. Addicting game with pretty graphics and massive grinding. lol Enjoy .
damn i love this game.i am really in to it.everything is fine and cool.BEST GAME EVER!!!
