9Dragons is a 3-D Fantasy MMORPG set in Ancient China during the Ming Dynasty. The game allows you pick from one of four distinct classes and six different martial arts. Your martial art determines what faction you are in. Three martial arts are part of the White Clan and three are part of the Black Clan. The open PVP in certain zones adds another layer of game play to 9Dragons.

9Dragons Reviewed

9Dragons really doesn’t offer anything more than any other 3D Fantasy MMORPG. The game feels and plays like Silk Road Online, but with fewer skills. You start the game with absolutely nothing. No weapon. No money. Nothing. You’re forced to level incredibly slowly using your fists until you punch enough foxes to purchase yourself an actual weapon.

The biggest drawback to 9Dragons is certainly the slow experience gain. It’ll take you at least 4 hours of pure grinding to reach your first job advancement at level 12. The four classes you can choose from are: Warrior, Hybrid, Nuker, and Healer. Each of the six martial arts has its own name for each class [For example, in the Wu-tang martial art, warriors are called Blue Dragons], making each character appear more unique.

One interesting aspect of 9Dragons is the sheer amount of playability, especially if you dont’ mind grinding, as the game’s level cap is at 216. Developers are also working on additional job advancements to keep players further hooked. Although the game doesn’t offer a lot of unique features, it does have a fun PvP system, so it’s worth trying if you’ve played all the other popular MMORPGs already.

you’re young jason. this game has me more addicted than i was with world of warcraft, and i was a fiend for world of warcraft. this game is GREAT IMO. and that’s bullshit about the leveling. it’s actually pretty fast pace compared to all the other free MMOs or pay. for example, the average WoW player will take about half a day or more to reach lvl 12. but in 9dragons, it takes only a few hours with quests and some grinding. and it has a unique touch to it with all the different martial arts you can learn. and it’s the first free MMO that i’ve played that actually supplies you with an good dosing of quests as you advance in lvls, keeping you occupied and not like a drone grinding and grinding and grinding and grinding ooh an item and grinding and grinding and grinding…………..

I agree with Ryan, Tony and Edward. Though I just downloaded the game yesterday and was only able to play for an hour, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this game all day… which basically means for me that I am already hooked :) I enjoy all MMOs, but WoW and LOTRO were the only ones able to keep me interested for a long period of time. I am amazed that a F2P game has me yearning to get out of work and play it! Highly recommended. Beautiful graphics, interesting quests, and useful tutorials. The quests, imo are not too much different than WoW… if anything else, perhaps a bit more entertaining as they draw you in more.

I wanted to try but heard there’s ton of ads, get outta here last thing I need are ads on my game, I can’t even stand ads on websites.

I completely agree but dull combat far from and quests most MMOs suffer from mindless quests, “bring this here take this there” for example.i have not found or even heard about a fun quest.
i’ve been a patron of 9 Dragons for a year now so its better than most martial art mmo crap and looks hell of a lot better! Give it a shot!
