Cabal Online Review
Cabal Online has been in development for several years, the beta opened in 2006 but the game was not released until March 2008. The game graphics are good for a free to play game, but they won’t blow you away. The character creation offers very little customization, which is a shame. There are six classes in Cabal Online: Warrior, Blader, Wizard, Force Archer, Force Shielder, and the Force Blader. In Cabal online the word “Force” is used in place of “Magic.” One thing I found strange in Cabal was the fact that I had to enter a CAPTCHA when logging in, unfortunately this feature does little to stop spamming and botting. (more on that later.)
You begin your adventure in a small town in the desert. The NPC you start next to will lead you in a series of quests including every major NPC in the small town so that they may introduce themselves to you. 90% of the quest text is worthless in Cabal so feel free to ignore it, just keep an eye on the bottom box that explains your objectives. In Cabal Online you will almost always have kill quests to do which will keep the grinding a bit more interesting. Once you receive your first kill quest, head outside town and try out the combat. You must press a number key for each swing, and you can swing in real time, a feature that makes combat more exciting.
As you level, more skills and combat modes become available to you, and the game play will become faster paced and more enjoyable. Early on, the quest line will send you to several exotic locations that are linked together by a portal that is accessible from every town. You’ll be hunting in the desert, in a jungle, and in the frigid icelands: the classic locales for any RPG! The scenery and the game play make Cabal more entertaining than most free to play MMORPGs. Unfortunately, You won’t be be introduced to the game’s combo mode until level 10, which consists of timing your attacks with a moving slider: you’ll be able to attack faster and deal more damage than with just button mashing.
Another interesting feature of Cabal Online is that players may challenge each other to duels and even bet money on the fight. The winner will be rewarded with honor points which can be used to upgrade your character. Playing killing without permission is also available, but anyone who partakes in this will be punished severely, making it rather rare, but the fact that game actually includes open PvP is definitely a plus. To illustrate this point, if someone kills four people, he will be a free target to other players and will drop equipment if he dies. Overall, Cabal Online is one of the best free-to-play MMORPGs currently available. The most visible problem, though, is the level of spamming and botting. Everywhere you go, your chat bar will be full of spams advertising websites where players can buy in-game gold and items. However, this is a very entertaining game worth a try if you have tried everything else.

I’ll actually disagree that all the text is useless. If one takes to time to read it, you realize that a story begins to emerge.

This game is definately seperate from the rest of the MMORPG’s that I’ve seen. In other MMO’s all you do is click and wait for your character to auto attack the enemy to death. In this game, you actually do something. Plus there are skills you can get that look awesome (like doing flips with energy going everywhere and stuff)

You’re kidding? - I would have given this no more than a one this game is really really boring I played it for a while and could not believe how bad it was…
It’s like having a job.. you’re not having any fun playing this game.. do yourself a favor and pass it.

like it’s true the text isen’t that usefull but it’s not boring :S
this game is very interesting to me with the betting while you pvp and the upgrades with the honour points( honour points are from pvp )
i say that after you reach like around lvl 20 the skills you get are really cool depending on witch class you pick but most of them have really awsome skills
if your looking for a game that dosen’t take to long to lvl or a really fun one or just a random game this game is definetly one you should try

the game was great but it took me a long time before i could actually play the game…
cause all the servers and channels are too busy!!!
you’ll need to pay something first before you could use the premium channels that would allow you to log in and play without the wait…

Out of every -*Free*- MMORPG i have seen, played, or looked up, this one is so far the best.
If you come from playing Pay-to-play MMORPGs though, this isnt as fun, but still a worth while game.
I recommend this game to anyone looking for a great free MMO

the text is insignificant, but can b entertaining if u have the time to spare and are actually interested which doesnt include most people lol as for the lvling its very quick to lvl ur character, however the skills are a different story, u can lvl ur character extremely quickly but if ur skills cant seem to keep up ur character cant do much as far as fighting goes, the skills take millenias to lvl once u hit around the 3rd or 4th class and the constant exp u get from the run around quests doesnt help that matter much. the graphics could do with some fine tuning they’re a lil rough around the edges if u like eye candy try silkroad online, with the armor for the characters of cabal it all looks very similar and very bland, but yet all like some1 took a “blow glass in the shape of armor” class hehe, and as for the classes to choose from when making your character? around 4 of them could b compiled into 1, maybe 2 if ur specific about it i detested the game and found it just like Jacks said its like a job, especially when ur lvling the skills

Its a pretty good game! I love the skills and the interactive combat modes. Plus the text is usually useless but still its a cool game. I played every other MMORPG and this was my favorite. The only problem is you can’t have a PvP inside the cities lol you can only do it in the wild but still i liked it.

no tutorials, no help on how to attack or many other things. Game play is good. Everything else is great except for no explinations on what does what.
