Dream of Mirror Online (DOMO) Reviewed
The most prominent feature of this MMO is the sleek anime graphics. As Soon as you start the game, you’re introduced through a detailed tutorial that teaches you the basics of combat, questing, and exploring. You also gain a small amount of experience as well. They’re pretty clever with the tutorial, because you don’t even realize it’s a tutorial until after you’ve finished it.
Once you finish with the tutorial, knowing where to go next is sort of a blur. You’re not directed to do anything in specific, so the game leaves you with “go outside town and grind” as the only instruction. Combat can get repetitive, but the sleek graphics and skill growth will keep you hooked. You start off as a jobless “Commoner” but upon reaching level 10 you can choose one of the 13 available classes. The sheer number of playable make DOMO one of the better free mmorpgs out there.
Another interesting Feature DOMO offers is the ability for characters to be able to fly upon reaching level 15. Players get to fly ontop of their weapons, like the game Fly For Fun, but with weapons rather than brooms and boards. Flight is actually really helpful in DOMO, as players can use it to get to grinding spots faster or even meet up with friends quicker. As you fly around, you also gain “Flight experience” which can be exchanged for faster flying equipment. DOMO also has a crafting system which is good, because it ensures that the game has a healthy player run economy. One major drawback to DOMO is that the game has very poor English quest text and dialogue. Even the DOMO website has terribly poor English, but even with its flaws DOMO is definitely worth checking out.
