Knight Online is a 3D Fantasy MMORPG set place in a medevil world. The game has faction based PvP and a Guild vs Guild PvP system and much of the game focuses on PvP rather than PvE. The game has four generic classes; Warrior, Mage, Rogue and Priest. Although the game is free to play, players will have a lot of difficulty logging in as the servers are almost always full, and in order to guarauntee a slot on the server you need to become a premium member.

Knight Online Review
Knight Online 3D Fantasy MMORPG published by Gamersfirst in 2003. Start by selecting one of the game’s four generic classes; Mage, Warrior, Rogue and Priest. Players also have to select whether they want to be a human or an orc. This also determines your faction, as humans and orcs are constantly at war with each other and can PvP pretty much anywhere in the game’s open environment.
My single biggest complaint about Knight Online is the game’s limited number of servers. Knight Online has a massive community, and the game’s servers simply can’t support them. The obvious solution would be to buy more servers, but the folks over at Gamer’s First decided that they will give login and bandwidth priority to users that pay for premium access, while those that don’t have to constantly try hitting the “connect” button hoping that someone else logged off at the same second he/she clicked connect. Unfortunately, with the games massive population, it’s simply impossible to log in during peak hours if you don’t have premium access. My second biggest complaint is that 90% of the players in the game don’t even speak English, they speak Turkish. If you’re looking to get into an MMORPG, This reason alone should deter you from Knight Online.
Another major drawback to Knight Online is the game’s rampant amount of cheaters and exploiters. Everywhere you look, you’ll see a bunch of high level players running scripts that play the game for them. The game is also plagued with a lot of technical glitches and exploits. Previously unpatched dupes almost destroyed the game’s entire economy, as the market was flooded with gold and items. Bugs and exploits are rarely patched, and if they do get patched, it’ll take the developers months to actually release the patch.
The game does have an interesting PvP system. Players and Guilds are ranked globally on the game’s website and the top guilds are recognized by a special in game item. Every game should have a system like this, as it encourages players to band together and try to be the “best” on the server, as everyone wants to have bragging rights. Another positive aspect of Knight Online is the game’s monthly events. One of the monthly events is the game’s ‘castle siege’ system. Every month, the Top guilds on the server compete to hold a castle from their rivaling guilds, and whichever clan manages to hold the castle the longest gets to control it for an entire month until the next ‘castle siege’. Whichever clan that controls the castle has access to a special dungeon where rare gems can be found and the ability to set a tax rate on the items the merchants sell.
In order to progress in Knight Online it’s pretty much required to party with others, as experience gain is absurdly slow if you try soloing. Partying would not be a problem if the game’s population spoke English. It’s frustrating to constantly get kicked out of parties when you fail to listen to the orders being given, as they’re almost always in Turkish. I actually commend the developers for rewarding players that party with faster experience gain, as MMORPGs should be played with others rather than just solo, but if you don’t understand Turkish, good luck trying to find a group. Ultimately, If you don’t understand Turkish, Knight Online is not worth trying.

The turkish comment is a total lie =P More then half of the people there speak English and only about once in 20 times do I find a turkish party.
And, that’s why you can start your own parties.
Fun little game that turns into a grind after about level 30 - but it’s still a quality title.
i hate this game thats a game for the old gamer’s
This was actually a really fun game to play. Even though it was a grinder, i felt like i was accomplishing something the more i leveled. Also, i didnt really have too many problems finding english speaking players, and the game has a pretty good community. The biggest problem though, like most games today, is that the game lacks substance, so all you do is end up grinding your life away in a field of skeletons…
was a fun game i played for about 2 years biggest draw back was not being able to log in…and yah there was a lot of Turkish players back then not sure about now but to fix that i took up Turkish lol easy fix
Actually, when this game was first out. It was full of Turkish players. It would be a miracle if you could even find someone who knows English. I’m not exactly sure how it is now but the bad thing about this game is that its being run of K2 which is an extremely bad company who doesn’t know how to get rid of botters and hackers.
i couldnt even get this to work, i went to play and it wouldnt get past the updater it keeps saying ftp error.
can anyone help with this? thanks
I only have 1 thing to say and that is
