Last Chaos Review
Last Chaos is one of the more popular free to play MMORPGs currently available. With four servers, each with several channels, there will always be plenty of people to play with. Upon logging in Last Chaos will recommend players a server to play on, and unless you have friends on a different server it is advisable to go with the game’s choice since bonus EXP is awarded for playing on the recommended server. This is an innovative way for Aeriagames to distribute players evenly across their servers and a great way to reward players that follow server recommendations.
Last Chaos has a total of six classes to choose from and they are: Titan, Knight, Mage, Healer, Rogue, Sorcerer. Each class has three face and hair choices which is rather limiting in terms of character customization. Each character begins with 0 in each of their four stats; Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Constitution. Each level, players gain one additional stat point that they can distribute amongst the four attributes. After character creation, players start in a ‘personal dungeon’ which is instanced. This small dungeon acts as the tutorial area. After leaving the tutorial and talking to the appropriate NPCs, players are free to leave town and start grinding.
Hunting monsters not only yields experience but ’skill experience’ which is used to learn new skills. Skills in Last Chaos fall into three categories, General, Passive, and Special. General skills are activated attacks or buffs and Special skills are mostly related to crafting. Quests are received automatically each level but many quests aren’t worth doing early on since running to and from the NPCs is less efficient than simply grinding. After a few levels however, experience slows down significantly and quests become more important. Quest NPCs are marked on the map, so they can easily be found. Although the quest descriptions aren’t always clear, there are usually a handful of helpful GMs and Guardians online (other players who help beginners) at any given time and an active official forum which can answer most questions. Unfortunately, the combat in Last Chaos is rather duell, and combat is usually dominated by the point a click system.
Last Chaos has it’s fair share of interesting features. As players progress they can purchase mounts and even raise pets (pet eggs drop randomly as loot). The pet system is a good distraction from the game’s grinding and well worth checking out. Starting at level 15, players can participate in the Good vs Evil PvP system. Last Chaos also offers a decent crafting system which adds a layer of depth not often found in F2P MMORPGs. Last Chaos while not revolutionary is defiantly one of the better free Fantasy MMORPGs out there and is worth checking out.

Meh, this game looked cool at the beginning. It has dated graphics and the servers are constantly laggy. I went into a place with almost no people around and I lagged like crazy. This game suffers from what most other games suffer from. BOTTERS. The character models look cool, but the text of the words and the textures of the building and your surroundings are poorly done.

last chaos was my first mmo. i could not believe it was free. it was (until 12 sky) the greatest. i have become home sick and plan on spending some time back on LC.
in addition to the eggs that the reviewer said dropped from themob flutes also drop. eggs become pet dragons and flutes become horses. also what needs tob stated is that u may buy from the mall or other players a color pill. i have not played for many months but i did have a blue horse and golden dragon instead of brown and redish.
it does ahve a guardian system that is basically a person taking on a pupil(no more than 3 at a time) to show them the ropes and answer the questions. back when i played it was taboo to ask a question in town. u were basically told to ask ur guardian or shut up. i hope it has changed since.
all games have bots. there is no getting rid of them. ur only hope is an ignore feature which i and 99% sure LC has. u will never have to hear that perosn again. so to say a game is bad becasue of the bots is not a good way to judge.
yes the qeusts are a bit boring and if u miss a lvl 20 quest and u lvl to 23 u may not b able to do that quest but the fact that u can form huge parties and hunt bogles(a high lvl mob) for hugh amounts of xp per kill makes it worth while.
i so wish team speak and vent were around when i played. i may not have left.
u have the possibility of makeing great frinds and allies in the game.
it is my scond choice of all the aeria games available.

Wasn’t mentioned, but was class tied to gender in this game. Since both the screenshots and the website shots seem to confirm this?

Yes, class is tied to gender.
And it’s too grindy. I stopped playing when my knight reached level 20. I just want a game not a job.

This is the best game i have ever played. The graphics are GREAT, along with the amount of servers, monsters, skills, and players

This game has horrible lag which it should not have given that it’s graphics are not that ‘heavy’ - you also have so many players in game yet so little communication, it’s like playing a single player RPG.. except much much worse at least in a single player RPG you have far less grind and an actual ending and story line…

I don’t know why anyone complains about grinding. i thought that was the point of any rpg.kill the badies and get xp. as far as the graphics go they make runescape look like donkey kong. for free that’s not bad. the lag is a problem, but i’ve found that it can be somewhat corrected by changing the camera angles to not include as much of the distance view and other players. yes i know i shouldn’t have to but again its free. the biggest problem i see with the game is that though there are alot of guides, none of them are anywhere near as complete as they need to be. i can’t even figure out how to get a level back after being killed. should’t that info be easily accessible? i’ve only been playing 4 days now and i’ve already been killed once and got 2 kills myself(both on the guy that killed me. heeheehee.)so obviously dying is not uncommon in the game. but all in all this is a very good looking mmporg that i’m having alot of fun playing.

I recommend this game to any who like adventures. The game has events everyday and a great comminity. You can join guilds/clans and can upgrade armours and weapons. the graphics can be made sharper and effects can be turned on. The game is truly awesome.
