Metin2 Review
Metin2 may not be as well known as some of the other free to play MMORPGs, but it is entertaining and has some of the best combat I’ve yet seen. When creating a character you must first select one of the three factions, but it won’t have any effect on your starting location so don’t worry too much about it. Next you must choose from one of the four classes: Warrior, Mage, Asassin, or Sura. The only class here that should throw off a RPG vet is the Sura which is basically a Mage / Melee hybrid in Metin2. Like so many other MMOs, character customization is severely lacking. Characters can be male or female and each have two different clothing sets. There is no face, body or even hair customization. Even equipped shields and other armor won’t effect your character appearance, which dulls the game.
Metin2 starts you out in a field surrounded by packs of dogs. Your first instinct may be to attack these animals, but be sure to equip the weapon in your inventory first. Once you start swinging at the dogs, the ease and fluidity of Metin2’s combat will sink in. As your character swings his weapon, multiple enemies in front of you will be struck and be tossed backwards. This fast paced multi-target cleaving combat style makes for some fun game play and the auto-loot feature means you won’t waste time after each kill picking up gold.
Unfortunately, the game’s quest system is a bit broken. The kill quests will instruct you to kill 2 or 4 monsters at a time and sometimes the kills won’t register so you’ll be stuck with a dead quest. At level 5 you may specialize your class further. For example, the warrior can specialize in defensive or offensive styles. The mid and end game features in Metin2 include the factional PvP system where each side elects a king to lead them in the never ending war between the three countries. Individual guilds can pool their money to purchase fancy guild forts while higher level characters can own mounts. Overall, Metin2’s best feature is its combat but the rest of the game is lacking. My recommendation is give Metin2 a try and see if the combat can hold your interest until the end game PvP experience.

i played it got to lvl 15 then stoped cause it was a huge grindfeast

you WILL regret if u even test this shit game cuz its nothing giving you’ll just spend ur time thinking its fun in the beginning then after lvl 21 when the quests that u’ll get 99% on arent there anymore it just sucks cuz it takes ages to lvl even in low lvls
not so good game, but very addictive, if you can afford item mall it can be amazing funny, without item mall,you will just keep failing everything that you touch, i have lvl 65 in us version but i quit game.

Metin was a nice game. But i downloaded the Metin european and so hardly anyone was speaking in English. i was hard to understad the game with no help players and no tutrial. the Quests were hard and sometimes didnt work, the music was poor. Many weapons to choose from, it was easy to scam though, here is how it goes;
You buy a weapon/sheild and upgrade it 5 times. so your sword is +30. then you buy a sword that has not been upgraded. You put the upgraded sword on sale. when you trade with your player you put the upgraded sword, you cancel the trade menu and open it again but this time you put the non-upgraded sword. you need to make sure the person saw the upgraded sword and put the money the first time. so in the second time the player wont notice that the sowrd has no +30, they accept and there you have it! andbeutiful scam. but make sure u logg out stragiht away just incase a GM will bust ur a$$

this game suck ass i played it and its lame 12sky make this game die like serious on mentin2 u get hit n u fall dats it ur dead and u cant get up start attacking or anything and the lvling omg dnt shit take so long may take u 5years to get to 100 who kns i think dat game suk all imma say is dont play dat shit its gay go play 12sky it rocks
this games is farlly good i like it im still playing the battle system is abit deffrent and is cool and i have never been knock down and died that way the leveling is desent altho at about lvl 20 it slows down a bit but is nothing to worry about its a really good game
Yeah, the game’s fun in the first few levels, but then it gets hard to level. It basically becomes boring, because you just have to grind and grind to get anywhere. You get quite a few dead quests too. I’d give it a 6/10
