Project Powder is an innovative fast paced 3D racer Snowboarding MMO with multiple game options. Unlike most racing games, a large portion of the game relies entirely on skill rather than game items and luck. Perform tricks while racing in order to fill up your boost; the more advanced tricks you do, the more your boost meter fills. Whether you race and battle against friends online or complete the game’s huge list of single player challenges, Project Powder is a blast.

Project Powder Review
Project Powder is a fast paced snowboarding MMO from Outspark. The game is incredibly fast paced and has sleek graphics. The game offers two modes of playing Race or Battle. Racing mode relies entirely on skill as items are turned off, while battle mode is a race with items turned on [Think Mario Kart or MMOs like Come on Baby]. Start off by selecting one of the three in game avatars. Although there are only three avatars to select, the game has a lot of customization, as players can purchase a wide variety of items in the game’s shops using money they’ve earned from multilayer races. Upon actually creating your character, you’ll be brought to a tutorial screen where you can practice some of the game’s controls. I strongly recommend you play around in the tutorial a bit, as it’s short and well done; if you spend five minutes in the tutorial, you’ll have mastered the basics of the game.
Project Powder is incredibly unique as the game combines fast paced racing with snowboarding. Players can activate speed boosts by performing tricks; the more advanced the trick you do, the more boost the player is awarded. If you mess up performing a trick, you won’t gain any boost and you’ll fall down and lose some speed. Unlike most racing games where a single mess up could ruin the entire race for you, Project Powder doesn’t penalize “mess ups” that severely, so if you mess up a few times, it won’t be impossible to catch up. Another great aspect of the game is the course design. No course in Project Powder is boring, as each course has countless ramps and shortcuts. Every single level feels like it’s been well thought out and each level is gorgeously to look at.
One interesting aspect of Project Powder that all MMOs should implement is the game’s Lobby system. While waiting for a game players can move around and even throw snowballs at each other. This isn’t exactly “game play” but its acts much better than the simple lobby system used in games like GunZ The Duel and WarRock. Project Powder also did an excellent job with the in game music. The in game music fits very well with the game’s theme and the game rotates the tracks so players don’t get tired of the music. The only real negative aspect of Project Powder is the confusing interface when you first log in, as it will seem a bit overwhelming with all the options, but once you better familiarize yourself with the game, Project Powder really doesn’t have that many faults. It’s a great game and easy to get into and definitely worth checking out.

Project Powder FTW
woohoo! Project Powder is awesome! The interface is confusing? I don’t think it’s that confusing…just takes a few lookarounds to see what everything is all about and it’s easy. Go to http://projectpowderhq.sparkonline.net for helpful information on it!
The game is lots of fun but I havent found one of the mentioned singleplayer challenges yet. I hope you didn’t mean the small challenges you have to do if you learn a new move… so where are those challenges?
