Scions of Fate Reviewed
When you start playing Scions of Fate you’ll immediately notice that there is only a single race, and only five classes to choose from. You’ll also be disappointed to learn that three out of the five classes are essentially the same type of class, warriors. The five classes are Swordsman, Bladesman, Spearman, Archer, and Healer. You’ll also notice that the game lacks a mage class, but instead has a healer. When you make your character you’ll also be suprised to notice that you can’t even change your characters hairstyle or face. Just his hair color. This lack of customization takes a lot away from the game, because almost everyone you see in the game will look like clones of each other, minus the hair color difference.
One interesting feature about Scions of Fate is the game’s “essence system”. Players can basically use different types of gems to enhance their equipment. Each piece of equipment can be upgraded up to 10 times. If you plan on participating in PvP you’ll definitely need to get the right combination of gems to do well.
Grinding and fighting in Scions of fate is really no different than any other 3-D MMORPG. The faction system adds a second layer of game play to this MMORPG, but the drawback is that you can’t participate in the faction based PvP until you reach level 30+. Scions of fate is immensely popular in Asia, but I don’t see the game becoming popular here in the United States. It’s still worth a download if you love MMORPGs and want to try a new game.

Is that the actual in-game music? That’s the same soundtrack from Fable..
