Sho Online Reviewed

Sho Online is a relatively new MMORPG that was released around March/April. The game looks and plays like Silk Road and World of Kungfu in terms of game mechanics. The game’s biggest drawback is the fact that the game only has three classes to pick from when you start off; Soolsa [Mage], Warrior and Assassin. Upon reaching level 10, you can advance to a one of two new available jobs, depending on which class you picked. Even with the job advancements, the game offers very few classes to choose from.

After you make your character, you’ll be given a choice whether you want to complete a tutorial or not, I’ll recommend you skip it, as the game play is very simple and the learning curve is short. Sho Online’s most enjoyable aspect is the games item system. Monsters can drop all sorts of weapons and items that’ll keep you hooked on the game while grinding. The loot system will remind of Diablo 2 / World of Warcraft, where you can find set pieces that give you bonuses upon collecting the entire set. Items can also have random bonuses attached to it as well, which will definitely keep you into the game.

One major aspect of the game that makes questing a total turn off, is the broken English. It’s sometimes absurdly difficult to try and read what NPCs have to say, due to the terrible translations in the game, taking away the all aspects of enjoyment that the plot offered. Ultimately, a competitive faction based pvp system and a great item system make Sho Online worth downloading.
