Soldier Front looks like a mix between Counter Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike Source, but with a distinctly Asian feel. This is a tactical game which means you’ll be killed by just a few bullets, no bunny hopping and dodging rockets, sorry folks, this isn’t Quake. When you create your character, you can pick from one of several factions or “forces” such as Delta Force (USA), Spetsnaz (Russia), GIGN (France), and four others. Your faction choice only affects your character’s appearance. There are a few faction specific weapons and equipment, but this is not a major component of the game.
One of the most frustrating things about Soldier Front is that unlike other online FPS games, you don’t simply join a server at any time then leave when you’ve had enough. In SF you must either create or join a room, then the host must set the game rules and start the game. Once the game starts, players are penalized for leaving before it finishes. At first this seemed like a good feature, but when you’re in a large team game and half your team leaves, you’re still stuck finishing a 2v6 game since leaving would cost you experience. Multiple servers that players could join freely would have been a much better system [Think Counter-Strike].
Another problem I encountered when I played was the constant abuse of bugs, which allowed players to go “inside” walls where they could shoot at anyone on the map without being attacked themselves. I found at least once person abusing or attempting to abuse this in every game I was in. Hopefully the game’s developers will address these issues. Soldier Front is not the prettiest FPS out there, but its one that will run on a lot of machines and the RPG elements of progression will keep you hooked. Soldier Front is worth a “shot” if you’re interested in FPS games.

This game has made a huge improvement over the years. It has a large variability of weapons, armour, and Arsenal and still growing with new weapons every few months sometimes weeks. One thing I like about this game, unlike other FPSMMOs like WarRock, when you buy a weapon, you keep it forever instead of renting it.
The bad part is glitchers, and hackers used to run rampant in this game. Hackers for the most part has been neutralized. Glitchers still run rampant but some glitchers have been fixed. The thing I hate the most is, you can’t choose to join and leave as you please. You first have to find a room that is waiting for players, then you have to ready up, lastly you have to wait until the Host starts the game. While you’re playing, if you leave, you’ll probably receive a “weapon’s Durability Penalty.” which damages your weapon more than anything. On top of that, you probably don’t get any Experience from what you’ve done so far in the match. Another problem is SP(Money) Recharge gets harder to fill up to gain money later on and sometimes in the early ranks.
The gameplay is pretty fun. It could get competitive at times, but if you have any experience in FPS games, you would know how to take down your enemies.
One thing that can get really annoying for some of the players with short tempers is the amount of lag that this game has. It may not have as much as the Lag-Famous WarRock but it does get rather annoying shooting an enemy with a sniper rifle in the head, and he died 10 seconds later, and he kills you…… It’s alright as certain times, but can easily get out of control other times. Especially if you’re playing later or earlier in the day when most of the European players join up it gets extremely laggy.
The final bad thing about this game is the Soldier Front Community. It’s full of little kids who complain and yell “Lagger” “Glitcher” “Hacker” “Tapper” “Teleporter” “Ramboer(lol)” every time they die. And if they keep dying, they bash you on your combat tactics. They would call you a “camper” “Backstabber” “Snipe nub” etc. It may not be as bad as the WarRock Community but these kids are pretty ridiculous. And if they still keep dying, they will say “I will report you, glitcher hacker LOLOLOLOLOL”
Finally if they still keep on dying, they’ll start threatening you like “I’ma come to your house and rape you lololololololololol” or “I’ll fuck you up and jump on your mom’s dick”.
Overall this game deserves a 7/10. It’s a very good game to try, and it has improved a lot over the years. However you’re going to meet some very odd players, and run into some very odd things ingame. Give it a try.

this game is pretty good but could use a few tweaks with getting the money and ll that, because you only get the sp once you level up, and it takes A LOOONG time to rank up…and especially the voing out process where the people playing can vote you out of the game an then adding to it all you still gt the weapon penalty…which in my opinion gets lot of poeple realy pissed
