Twelve Sky is a fantasy MMORPG with fast leveling early game and an interesting item drop system similar to that of Diablo 2’s. Twelve Sky is unique in the sense that your character always starts out with 1 in each stat, so you can allocate stats exactly how you want them. The end result of a system like this is a character developed exactly the way you want, at least attribute wise.

Twelve Sky Review
Twelve Sky is an MMORPG that is extremely difficult to “get into” as leveling is slow and quests are uninspiring. Start off by choosing one of the three available factions; Jinong, Fujin and Guanyin. The faction you select basically determines what class you are, as each faction has its own advantages and disadvantages. When you first begin playing, experience gain is ridiculously fast, as in you can get level 12 within 10 minutes, but to go from level 14-20 will take 3+ hours. It’s as if you hit a brick wall after level 15. Why the developers choose to make the experience gain so inconsistent is beyond me.
One positive aspect of Twelve Sky is that the fact that the publisher is actively involved in game events and updates. Every holiday, you can bet that the folks over at Aeriagames are working to create an in game event for that specific holiday, whether it’s bonus experience or fun new quests. Twelve Sky also has daily events which range from “bunny races” to “no experience penalty” depending on which day of the week it is. Other game publishers should definitely take note of this, as daily events are a great way to keep players hooked, and are certainly an enjoyable addition to the game. I applaud Aeriagames for their active involvement with the game’s community.
One major downside to Twelve sky is that the game’s graphics are quite poor. Everything seems blurry and jagged. The most unusual thing I noticed about Twelve Sky is the options page. On the bottom of options page, there is a button for exit and logout. Presumably, exit will close the options menu, while log out will log you off from the game, but Nope. In Twelve Sky if you hit Exit, it closes the game, not the options screen. Only after careful examination, i found an X in the top corner of the options menu, which closes the options screen. The X Was dang well hidden, as it was blended into the options menu, making it hard to find. Why would the developers do that? Even with it’s flaws, Twelve Sky is worth checking out.

If this game had more work done on it and wasn’t rushed out of it beta phase, than this game could have been awsome. You can run this on a crap tastic comp. Graphics suck and so does the movement. World of Kung fu is WAYYYYY better and its still in its beta phase.

12sky is worth checking out. The first 112 levels seem slow but its the community and the active involvement from the game masters that keep you entertained. Once you reach level 112, the game actually picks up uber tremendously (Most would consider the first 112 levels as training levels) and you get into more fast paced, awesome pvp action. Of course, 112 levels sounds like a lot, but with the well equipped game design and help from your faction, it will go by in a breeze and will be filled with enjoyment.
Of course, posting praise has to come with posting of downfalls. The game does have a lot of glitchy areas that still need work..Such as switching of gear can cause disconnection errors, or typing while changing maps can keep you locked out of the game for a brief period..Some other problems in pvp areas can create havoc, mainly because of the lag produced from the distance and pings from players…creating ghosts and pop up images of other players can be a nuisance.
With those ideas put aside and a more generalized formula presented, its great to consider this FREE pvp game as one of yours to download and enjoy. The great involvement and learning community is unsurpassed and the positive feel of the gain in the game do make up for the disadvantages this free game have to offer. Its definitely worth a look.
The video posted here doesn’t really convey the overall aspect of the game, if you really want to get a more open and accurate feel of the game, you should consider watching this video, posted here.

12 sky FTW. and i dont know who did the review above but u dont hit the brick wall till like lvl 50 not 15. u can easily make it to lvl 50 in a week with out any item mall items. it is a great community with great war system between the other 2 factions that makes the game great. if u love to pvp this is the game for u.
if this comment makes u try the game please look me up. im kentspet and would b more than happy to give u the dime tour

ROFL, you’re kidding me, right? You seriuosly think taking 4 hrs to go 6 lvls is a lot of time? I guess you have no concept of long term replay value and playability. So what you’re saying is you want cap level in one day and be bored out of your mind becaue you “beat” the game easily, have nothing to do, and then move on. The fact is, is that 12Sky isn’t the kind of game you can beat easily and some ppl actually like that kind of challenge and is it is by no means a dealbreaker for this game. And the graphics issue? This isn’t Playstation 3 or Xbox 360. It’s a free to play MMO so get over it already. Given the fact the developers wanted to make it accessable and playable online across the world, it makes sense. I’ve seen way worse in stuff I actually paid for.
A true and accurate review would be that the community is excellent, good, but not phenomenal, graphics, and a challenge for those seeking something long term, not nitpicking because you couldn’t see the X in the options dialog. Oh and by the way, Im level 117 in the game so I know what I’m talking about. And I dare you to find another game where the GM’s and staff are so involved in the game. Oh wait…you won’t becaue Aeria’s staff is second to none, running far more events and promotions then are posted in the website and even appearing in-game occasionally to interact with the players. I’ve played other MMO’s and the reason I quit all of them, despite the eye candy, was a complete lack of community and staff interaction and the completely dull grind that accompanies so many other games. Don’t want to grind all the time in 12Sky? Talk to friends, bet on bunny races, go to war, duel other players, invade someones town. There are plenty of things to do and there is new content often to keep interest alive. Try it out people, it’s a lot of fun and I gurantee you would be hard pressed to find a better PLAYING game, not just a better LOOKING game. All the eye candy in the world won’t save a lame game that you hate playing.

as a full blooded 12 skyiean i have to repair this. it does no justice to our world. i have a 6 yr old comp so keep that in mind

(kentspet argues)not sure how long he played but it is very different from this reivew. it is simple to lvl and is fast till at least 100. if u kill mob that is even ur lvl not to mention higher than u then u can get at lease 1% per mob killed. so i dont see why he/she says it is so slow. most people can make a 105 alt in a few weeks. how is that slow?
(reviewer says) One major downside to Twelve sky is that the game’s graphics are quite poor. Everything seems blurry and jagged.
(kentspet says) what? i spent a week DLing and playing other free mmorpg games and this one is the best. i have no issue seeing movements or objects. i now base other games playability on this games graphics and lack of lag. call me spoiled.

well the review isnt that acurate since u can get from lvl 1-100 in about a week tops if u acually play, beside that graphics are ment to b that way to lessen the lag since u can change the filtering if u have a graphic card that can suppourt it so its counted as a good thing to let every1 play the game w/o gettin mad lag cuz thier graphic cards rnt that good.
it does get slower after 113 but then again max lvl is 145.
in my opinion its the fastest lvling MMORPG i ever played till now

Guys, I understand some of you like this game, and I didn’t say leveling was impossible. I did play this game for a good while, and I Loved the GM events and all, but leveling did get 10x harder after level 15. I didn’t stop at 15, But I just pointed out leveling became a lot harder. Theres a “User Review” Section coming out soon to MMOHUB, So please voice your reviews there when it’s released.
by jvang, on 07.10.08 @ 12:13 pm
Of all of Aeria Games and Entertainment’s games, this is by far the best. Yes, it lacks content, but that void is quickly being filled with patches ever flowing from Gigasoft to Aeria. The wide range of pc’s that this game is compatable with, and the fact that it is F2P makes this game worth at least a look at. Not to mention Aeria’s great community and staff. Their Admin/GM teams are far more involved in players opinions of the game then any others I’ve seen, and their volunteer staff is the one to beat. 12sky may not be the “god” of martial arts games on the market, but the massive amounts of PvP arenas and Invasions of enemies homelands makes this game far better then any I have seen to date. 5/5

I have to say there is one major point you left out of your review. PvP. That is what 12 Sky is focused on. Not sure how far you made it, but if you got to 113+ and got in on some of the awesome PvP action you’d know that the things you have mentioned are minor in comparison. Besides, the levling is relative. Compared to grinding at my lvl that “wall” you talk about is nothing more than a minor speed bump.
by SuperKeav, on 07.10.08 @ 1:14 pm
it takes me less the 4 hours to hit lvl 30 how is lvling hard in ths game if it takes u a long time to lvl you better redo your build or better yet gind on bigger stuff AOE is the best thing u can do while grinding
by ChakraFury, on 07.10.08 @ 1:39 pm
You are kidding me right? i hit 30 in 3 hours with NO HELP (except i had a guild, who i dditn realy ask for help from) on my first char. i kept going in this game, breezing through the younger PvP stages of Ahmang Valley (lvl 30-49) and Samji Island (50-69) i found the game AMAZING, and was drawn to the PvP, and the Rivalries between the Fujin and Jinong. this game has been beaten by one game, 12-Sky 2, which is currently is Closed Beta testing Korea, where the original 12-sky wasa made. this game is intense, and you cana spark many friendships with not many enemiies. the players for the most part are VERY mature, and all are welcoming. then there is Yanggok. Oh My God. Yanggok is THE MOST INTENSE PvP realm you will ever see in any game. in Yanggok, you can eenter whenever you want, and then rush to other people bases and engage in extreme 1 on 1 fighting all day long. also, in Ahmang Valley (AV) is when the PVP starts. in this realm, you go in, and rush to whereever the higher lvls say (you dont have to, but when your new, follow them) they will lead you to somewhere, lest say another factions portal. there, its a team battle. your side vs their side. try to take out ones whos gear is similar to you, and at a low level, stun whenever neccessary. in 12-sky, the amount of skills is overwhelming. you have so many choices, and you get better skills as you level up. in this game, there is no brick wall untill lvl 100, then at lvl 105 it gets better again. also, to encourage you to get to Master level (113) at lvl 112 there is a 10x xp bonus. also, the GM’s are VERY active in game, which the opportunity to see one about 4 times a week at the least. there is also a crew of GS’s (GameSage’s) who will help you with all your problems, and contact a GM if necessary. PLAY THIS GAME. also, there is a new server coming out (called Vengeance) so you will not be behind anybody else if you start when it comes out (one of these thursdays at 6 PST). ENJOY
by ChakraFury, on 07.10.08 @ 1:43 pm
as for the no tutorial point, the players would happily help you with whatever you may need. use faction chat whenever you have a problem.
by cliffortb, on 07.10.08 @ 1:44 pm
To me this is the best PvP based game on the market may it be f2p or p2p. The way it was dsigned to help you start fighitng other factions ASAP was brilliant. Also you become really close to you faction, and you can start to make friends with pretty much 1/3 of the server. Which can rarely happen in other games. Not only is this game addicting ,but if you the kind of person who likes getting the rush off of fighting 50+ enemies on your screen with you fellow comrades. This is the game for you.
by Godcrusher, on 07.10.08 @ 1:55 pm
BTW Extra Note:
I’ve tried many f2p, seen many p2p and this is definitely the only game that gets you a taste of the action at the beginning of the game, then major combat, war as you get into it. Mostly for war, strategy, and RP fans. Do you want to feel the rush of your blood as you rush into enemy territory? Do you want to laugh at your enemies when they fall into your faction’s ambush? Or smile with glory admiring your stones? (Sounds weird but the stones in the game are like relics, each faction has their own stone, then a yaoguai stone which gives an additional boost to the faction that owns it. Every faction can lead an army with their comrades and attack ANYTIME, ANYWHERE for these stones. You can even invade to the opposing faction’s town and become a conqueror!)
by Godcrusher, on 07.10.08 @ 1:56 pm
Extra Extra Note:
There’s just too much that I can’t finish saying, lol 12 Sky is a highly cooperative game, just that, your first quest even requires a higher level to assist you or a partyfull of players. Masters (lv113+) Can even help lower players get an additional 50% boost of exp. It’s all about teams.
by Godcrusher, on 07.10.08 @ 2:25 pm
Final Note:
1. Nice Site, I’ll come here when I need new games
2. I kinda feel every1 is atkin the admin here >.>
Guess they just feel the review didn’t quite suit the actual game. Maybe we can create a as unbiased review of the game from all its aspects.
by hooah212002, on 07.10.08 @ 2:29 pm
12-Sky is the first MMO I have ever played. Before I started this I was a complete MMO skeptic. Usually I played just console games and I thought MMO’s were for “nerds”. Boy was I wrong. From day 1 since I moved my character, I havent been able to stop. From what I have heard about many other MMO’s, it appears that it is much easier to level in 12-Sky than most others. 1-112 is a bit of a drag, as the real fun doesnt start until you hit “Master Level” (113), but its pretty easy to get there. Especially as far as PvP is concerned. Sure there is a good amount of Pvp at lower levels, but once you hit master, you are far better equipped to take part in what the game is all about: Stone taking, Clan invasions, Defending your home land from invasions.
I would have to say that your 12-Sky experience could very well be based off of the faction/sever that you choose. Each clan has its own “personality” so to speak. So if you do give it a shot and don’t have a good feel, try out a different clan/server.
The Aeria staff goes above and beyond the call of duty to assist in making our gaming experience a pleasurable one.

well lots of places to check alots of lvls to go alots of stuff “skills, gear”
to find and tons of action”PvP-RvR 3pl threat” and freinds to hang around :p
propobly best of martial arts online game :p
by Vergil, on 07.10.08 @ 3:46 pm
The game isn’t bad but not good either, it has been almost a year and still no full content has been met, also when you check other versions of this game, the US version isn’t exactly friendly, the community acts poor and shows bad sportsmanship. If you really want to try this game then I suggest getting a bunch of friends, do not check their forums and stay distant from high level players. The PvP system is really well done minus some major mistakes that make this game one faction based. Where Twelve Sky 1 fails Twelve Sky 2 succeeds. The EXP isn’t slow, I don’t think you want to get to level 100 fast, the only downfalls I see in this game are the lack of content and the Community. 3 Stars.
by ChakraFury, on 07.10.08 @ 4:50 pm
er… Vergil, 1. Korean servers took like 3 years for full content
2. full content makes no sence in being released untill some players have hit m33
3. community is awesome, but Serenity has much better community
4. stay distant?? no. just find the ones who arent stupid (sounds like you were a Devo Fuj, if so, i pity you) and you dont need friends to play, i have made many in game friends.
by Godcrusher, on 07.10.08 @ 5:44 pm
To Virgil, why are you always so by yourself >.< Stay away from the forums? xD Maybe you should stay at the forum and might find some love.
Though like any MMORPG there’s the good and the bad, there’s always the bad side of 12 sky and its community.
by Godcrusher, on 07.10.08 @ 5:51 pm
Also did anyone mention that we elect faction leaders and the leader can choose assistant faction leaders every 2 months for each faction on each servers?
by kentspet, on 07.10.08 @ 9:02 pm
sorry it sounded like i was beating on the admin. i could only see my posts for a while and i was shocked that so many people had voted and not one of them had said anything to imporve the review.
again sorry to the admin
ps no dont stay away from the forums or high lvl players. they are both ur best tools to learn grow and get thoes lvls.
by KimW**ds, on 07.12.08 @ 6:48 pm
12sky….I’ve been playing since cb & it rocks none stop. lvling is so easy til you hit 100+ & then it turns into madness, but I love the game. Any1 can reach 100 less than a week without item mall items.
by KimW**ds, on 07.12.08 @ 6:52 pm
Oh!!! Lvling tip for fellow Jins. Pick light-blade as wep and max steel-wall buff. Go str and dex /add some chi also to support your buff and don’t forget aoe skill. Mobbing on reds will make you skip battles just, because the lvling tec is so good.

I love 12 sky cus of the pvp
by kolli94, on 07.26.08 @ 2:53 pm
12 sky RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive been playing it for few weeks now and im up to level 32………. I still think im leveling up quite fast, and I must disagree with you about one thing, I dont think the quest system is poor. The quests are fun and it is brilliant to have you do a quest once youve reached a paticcular (sorry for my spelling) level. That makes you look forward to getting to that level. And also, once youre over level 25, the quests are many, and you always have enough to do! I love 12-sky!!!!!!
by kolli94, on 07.26.08 @ 2:55 pm
NO ONE CAN REACH LVL 100 IN LESS THAN A WEEK!!!
by Godcrusher, on 08.01.08 @ 8:49 pm
Wrong kolli, someone reached 100 in a day with 2x xp, his name is Beer on the newest server vengeance. Along with 2-3 others who were closely behind.
by ExileWarrior, on 08.02.08 @ 11:15 pm
I <3 this game. I have only been playing for like 5 dyas and i love it ALOT already. Great job by aeria games. Like the experience gain!!!!!
by Jacks, on 08.03.08 @ 7:30 pm
The thing that impressed me the most about this game is that Aeria finally bucked the trend that most F2P mmo companies are currently on - top heavy graphics for no real reason…
You can play 12-sky on almost any machine as long as it’s a PIII (I have even managed to get it running fairly well on an old PII that I had underneath the stuff in my closet.) and if you have a newer machine it’s so smooth and the graphics can be cranked to full without a problem…
on the downside the grind and environments do become bland after a while.. everything is very ‘dark’.
If you have an older PC this is probably the best mmorpg you can run on it.
by Stich, on 08.11.08 @ 12:16 am
what are u guys on about 12 Sky is a good game i like the challange of getting to lvl 112 + ig ot to lvl 81 in 1 week if u put ur mind to it u can do lots. graphics wise this game is quite good its a free to play mmorpg its not a p2p where u can complain its free.if u like to pvp MAN this is the game for u awsome weps and armor diffrent clan its awsome so stop crying and get lvling >.<
by Tony, on 08.14.08 @ 4:08 am
well i must agree with everyone else here i ignored the reviewer and downloaded 12sky and think its a great game for sure and the graphics are pretty dam good on my comp so i dont know what that was all about im still a noob on 12sky but so far have found the population pretty helpfull i think i will be playing this for quite some time

12-Sky is one of the best MMORPG’s anyone can ever play. It seems as if the person who wrote the review literally only got to level 15. As said, the game has an awesome PvP system. This game is a normal korean grinding game, but the plus to look forward to IS the PvP.
by joyfulbamboo, on 09.03.08 @ 9:15 am
Unfortunately with these type of reviews, the reviewer is only exposed to each game for so long. MMO’s in general are pretty involving and time-consuming, and 12 sky is no exception. While I do agree there is fast xp early game, to me and most 12 sky’ers early game is lvls 1 - 100.
Still, there’s a ton of stuff to do between the grinding early game (ie quests, pvp, merchanting, socializing). It’s really not difficult to grind until you hit level 113, which is called master level 1 in-game.
Community is great as well, you do have your bad seeds and whiners and conners and occasional beggar, but overall most are willing to help (for free and patiently)…there is no tutorial but the game is very intuitive and you should have no problems if you take even a little bit of time to read the forums, where you can always ask a question as well.
The pvp system is the best I’ve ever played, fairly well-rounded, the biggest complaint is that sometimes lag prevents you from pilling so you die an easy death. There are also so many different pvp events all day that you never have to go too long without finding someone to fight.
Also one big plus I’ve not seen in other MMO’s besides 12 sky is the participation of Aeriagames, the distributor of the game. You can easily get in touch with them if you have a complaint or just want to hang out with.
This game is for mature audiences, so I wouldn’t let your kids play.
by housty, on 09.08.08 @ 1:04 pm
I like punching zombies heads off !!
the leveling is kinda hard after 15… and it totally boggles my mind that someone reached 100 in a day!!! WOW this is a great game PLAY IT NOW
by joyfulbamboo, on 09.15.08 @ 12:56 pm
Forgot to mention another thing…it is not difficult to make money in this game. Not real money, but in-game currency mind you
Anyways, rare stuff is dropped even at low levels, doing quests will net you gear you can use and items you can sell (like materials for enchanting, always great when starting out).
That’s not to say it’s super easy to buy all the elite gear in a couple days, but no one is ever really poor and playing with all horrible gear.
by LidsJr, on 09.18.08 @ 6:45 am
i have played this game since closed beta yah it has its flaws but it also has a lot of great aspects to it the biggest one being the assistance and active gm/gs’s the community is almost wlways chaty and if not it is because of the times…areia games and there gm/gs’s do a great job at trying to keep the games fun and running=D
by Fireson, on 09.20.08 @ 11:48 am
its a pretty good game but i like CABAL online better. Its similiar a little but i play CABAL cause 12sky has to many flaws and hard to lvl
by housty, on 09.22.08 @ 3:39 pm
wen do you get to join pvp is it after you hit master???
by joyfulbamboo, on 10.02.08 @ 3:20 pm
you can join in on pvp as soon as level 30
one of the beauties of this game is that they separate level’s into different pvp arenas, so no one 50 levels above you is in the same pvp arena (unless you count yongok, but i’ll get to that in a bit). I’ll explain the basic pvp play…in level’s 30-89, pvp is separated into 3 arenas. To win, you need to stand in a small circle for 5 mins without moving and not dying, then you win. It’s not as easy as it sounds, since you can be attacked by other factions from all sides at anytime.
Amhang valley - lvl 30-49 pvp arena. If you win you get access to a cave where mobs randomly drop superior tablets, which increase exp 2x for quite awhile
Samji Island - lvl 50-69 pvp arena. If you win you get access to a cave where mobs randomly drop tickets, which when opened give you a random amount 100k-500k in game money
Wargo valley - lvl 70-89 pvp arena. If you win you get access to a cave where mobs randomly drop gift boxes, which if you open you get a chance at a rare item or material for enchanting. Most of the time you get unique items, not really useful later on but not bad at these levels.
Other pvp arenas:
Yongok valley - lvl 70-145…just a big map with pvp all day. Obviously, at lvl 70 not real fun as most ppl there are 100+. There is a pvp battle every few hours where if your faction wins, you get 10% extra exp when grinding (on last hit I believe).
Samgok valley - split every 3 levels starting at 100 (100-102, 103-105, 106-108, 109-112)…If you win each person gets one big lucky ticket (which is like gift box but higher chance for good item). If you initiated form, you get 2 big lucky tickets.
Paldo Island - lvls 90-112…twice a day, at around 7:00 CST am and pm. If you win, each person gets 10% exp and the initiator gets 10m.
Now I just hit master, and there’s more type of pvp battles similar to the above but you’ll have to check the official website for more details on that. As you can see, this game is absolutely built around pvp, and you are always motivated to be the best. Honestly, before this game, I hated pvp, but this game makes it work.
by bremstone, on 10.04.08 @ 6:25 am
HOLY CRAP. But has anyone noticed the major population that sprung from the ground. I mean really, I havent logged into the game in like 4 months becuase of how dead it was, and I log into it tonight and I saw servers that were in the red. I was like WHATT. So get into the game and it was actually harder to do the kill 20x and 50x mobs becuase there were like 30plus in my area alone. WTH, about dam time ppl.
