Cabal Online

cabal-online Fighting Action MMORPG Fantasy 3D game

"Cabal Online" is an MMORPG with realtime combat, meaning you have to press buttons and click to attack, and don't auto-attack like most MMOs.

The game also has a combo system once you get to level 10, which makes combat even more fun!

If that wasn't enough, PVP in "Cabal" is a main feature; you can even bet money on player fights, letting you win fights and PVP rank, all while making money. Much more fun than grinding for gold!

Review

Cabal Online has been in development for several years, the beta opened in 2006 but the game was not released until March 2008. The game graphics are good for a free to play game, but they won't blow you away. The character creation offers very little customization, which is a shame. There are six classes in Cabal Online: Warrior, Blader, Wizard, Force Archer, Force Shielder, and the Force Blader. In Cabal online the word "Force" is used in place of "Magic." One thing I found strange in Cabal was the fact that I had to enter a CAPTCHA when logging in, unfortunately this feature does little to stop spamming and botting. (more on that later.)

You begin your adventure in a small town in the desert. The NPC you start next to will lead you in a series of quests including every major NPC in the small town so that they may introduce themselves to you. 90% of the quest text is worthless in Cabal so feel free to ignore it, just keep an eye on the bottom box that explains your objectives. In Cabal Online you will almost always have kill quests to do which will keep the grinding a bit more interesting. Once you receive your first kill quest, head outside town and try out the combat. You must press a number key for each swing, and you can swing in real time, a feature that makes combat more exciting.

As you level, more skills and combat modes become available to you, and the game play will become faster paced and more enjoyable. Early on, the quest line will send you to several exotic locations that are linked together by a portal that is accessible from every town. You'll be hunting in the desert, in a jungle, and in the frigid icelands: the classic locales for any RPG! The scenery and the game play make Cabal more entertaining than most free to play MMORPGs. Unfortunately, you won't be be introduced to the game's combo mode until level 10, which consists of timing your attacks with a moving slider: you'll be able to attack faster and deal more damage than with just button mashing.

Another interesting feature of Cabal Online is that players may challenge each other to duels and even bet money on the fight. The winner will be rewarded with honor points which can be used to upgrade your character. Playing killing without permission is also available, but anyone who partakes in this will be punished severely, making it rather rare, but the fact that game actually includes open PvP is definitely a plus. To illustrate this point, if someone kills four people, he will be a free target to other players and will drop equipment if he dies. Overall, Cabal Online is one of the best free-to-play MMORPGs currently available. The most visible problem, though, is the level of spamming and botting. Everywhere you go, your chat bar will be full of spams advertising websites where players can buy in-game gold and items. However, this is a very entertaining game worth a try if you have tried everything else.

This game is amazing... you simply need to stick with it to find one of the greatest mmos out there... and it's free!

The game itself, Enjoyable. One huge problem, the mass amount of bots and actual players that HACK to get anywhere. GA's and GMs that will cause you trouble just cuz they have too much power. Off balance game: flaws in combo ways to make alz, exploitsa out the wazoo. How do I know? I played for almost 2 years. Just cuz some have had good experiences and theyll derail the fact this game is poor, means nothing. Any and all bad PR for this game is del, or locked up tighter than a nun. Chat spam from bots is no longer an issue, its now the players from minds of 10yr olds that plague this game. Do yourself a favor, if you player it, stay away from darn near everyone, or do better, choose another game

The third best game I ever played. the best is Rumble Fighter, 2nd is Ether Saga. This game is really actiony and the skills are really detailed and pretty. Messing up on your stats in the beggining is gonna screw you badly. Hard to level up your skill points, you need magic and sword for extra stats.

You can block out the players that are chat spamming. The Captcha does go away after a while when first logging on. Then when you see it is only when you change channels or change characters. You get more battle modes as you level up (every 10 levels, up to a point, which I believe is 40, after which your modes get better every 10 levels). ~just my input and addition to the review.

I have been playing cabal for a long time and most of these cons are false or no longer a problem. so here is what it really is. Con: Class design is unimaginative - Wrong. Compared to most mmos they are very unique Con: Most features are unlocked as you level - Not even a con. The main features unlocked are recived rather early on. Con: Music does not always fit scenery - This is not factual as music is an opinion. Con: Most quest text is worthless - The most wrong of the "cons", the storyline of cabal is incredible and unique. Con: Lots of chat spam - No longer an issue as 90% or so has been removed in a recent update. Also you can check out my review over at "my.mmosite.com/dokvald" I hope this help clear things up for you.
