Review

"Fiesta" is a fairly standard MMORPG with somewhat limited customization. It does, however, have some good things going for it, including an appealing world and graphical style.

When you start the game, you can choose between four classes: fighter, cleric, archer, and mage. Fighters are your basic melee class, and they can equip swords and axes. Clerics largely make use of their skills to aid allies in battle by healing, shielding, and increasing attack damage, though they do have some offensive skills. Archers attack from afar and are most useful against bosses because of their high attack strengths against individual enemies. Mages also attack from afar, but their spells are often most useful against groups of enemies. Overall, each class is unique, requiring different strategies and equipment, and you might find yourself creating multiple characters just so that you can experience the individual gameplay that each character brings to the plate.

There are five different stats that upgrade as you level: strength, dexterity, endurance, intelligence, and spirit. Strength describes your attack damage, dexterity describes your ability to dodge and aim, endurance describes your hit points and defense, and intelligence describes your magic damage. Spirit is the most unique of the stats, and it describes several different things: your defense against magic attacks, your spirit points, and your chance of scoring critical hits. While certain stats are obviously most important to be upgraded for certain classes (strength and endurance for fighters and intelligence for clerics and mages, for example), spirit is useful in different ways for each class, though never essential, making it a major customization choice for the individual player.

Customization is, however, a bit more limited in "Fiesta" than it is in other MMORPGs because the game focuses its major upgrades on class changes at levels 20, 60, and 100. Besides these major changes, you are also able to purchase and build equipment. Lastly, with each level up you receive one free stat point to upgrade any stat you like, in addition to the standard stats upgrades that that class receives.

Some upgrades, such as mounts and pets, can only be purchased at the "Fiesta" cash store, which is somewhat unfortunate. Your movement speed in the game is a bit slow, and the idea of having to pay cash just so that you can move more quickly is a bit annoying.

The quests tend to be pretty basic requests made by NPCs that have you kill certain monsters. There isn’t much variety amongst the quests, and the game hinges the fun of each around the combat system. If you get bored of the strategies available to you, the game could potentially become tedious. One feature that "Fiesta" does boast, though, is kingdom quests, which take place throughout the day every two hours. Fifteen players join each instance of a kingdom quest and work together toward an objective. This creates a team-based experience that is far more fun than completing quests and leveling up on your own. Quests do get you to explore the different parts of the world, though, which have quite a bit of variety in look, if not in actual gameplay.

In fact, one of the best things that "Fiesta" has going for it is its presentation. The graphics aren’t actually particularly good, but because it’s aiming for a simple, cartoony style through the use of cel-shading, it manages to look appealing without having overly detailed graphics. Each avatar and environment is distinct from the next, and all look good. Furthermore, the music in the game is upbeat and enjoyable.

Customization may not be as thorough as it could be, and the lack of quest variety can sometimes make gameplay a bit boring, but "Fiesta" has a quality presentation and a great world. It’s definitely a free-to-play MMORPG that’s worth trying out.

I've played this game on and off for the past 2 years and have quite an opinion on it. The game is a generic cookie cuter mmo that lets you pick a class from the begining and you're stuck with that pretty much until endgame levels. The time it takes to lvl from 1 to 88 is the same time it will take u to get to 92 from 88; that is with the current lvl cap of 105. Every game has its strengths and weaknesses. For fiesta, it's the same for both. The cash shop gives those with money a real high advantage over those without money making pvp highly imbalanced and making individuals overpowered. The popularity of the game being its simplicity yet its simplicity is what makes it bad as there are hardly class balances yet they try to have a pvp competitive aspect that is mediocre at best. The review correct saying that there are 5 stats, it is incorrect in saying what they are best used for. For example, Int merely increases magic dmg in the game and is therefore only useful for mages. Clerics would gain no benefit from it what so ever. lvl one through 50ish are completely questable. Unless if you die, which many will, then you will lose exp. However, beyond 5x, there is alot of grinding involved. The game community is relatively mixed with adults and children. however, unlike other games, the veterans aren't all generally the hardcore gamers or mature players or adults as much as they are the kids with their parents' credit cards at hand. That is how influential cash shop is in this game. The GM presence is not noticeable aside from the weekly hide n seek games and trivias and the forums are monitored by community volunteers that seem to believe they've all the power. It's a nice, cute game to play with a few friends till the 50s or even 60s. However, beyond that it's a grindfest with little support and the control of a company that has recently made their cash shop items more expensive.... again.... So if you've a wallet, by all means play this game, you'll succeed. If you're looking for a grindfest beyond lvl 60, you've found it. However if you're looking for depth in a game, there isn't much in this cookie cuter mmo. If you do decide to play, Full strength fighter if you want to kill ppl and things. Full end cleric if you want to never ever die. Full int mage if you want to be a damage dealer, don't know why tho, you'll be horribly squishy. I'd say something about archers but at higher lvls, they just seem to get the short end of the stick. Might as well scratch mages and clerics off of there too. Know what? Just make a full strength fighter because it seems to be what everyone does.

Fiesta is 3D, so I doubt it should be listed as a 2D fantasy RPG.

Fiesta is a pretty good game. All of the premium items are useful but not nessicary. I liked the game play and the pvp and nonpvp zones. They always have pretty good Event Quests.

This game is great, until about level 50, then leveling gets very..very slow! Community is great. GMs are very helpful and and nice. Great maps, and a lot of them! Archer is some what superior to all other classes. Money is somewhat easy to make, but spammers on 3rd party sites are very very annoying. But overall, 4/5 stars!
