Xiah Rebirth is a poorly designed 3D Mmorpg. You’ll be disappointed with the game even before making your character, as the game only has four playable classes. The entire character creation process is an absolute joke, as the game uses a old school gauntlet legends style of character creation, where you can only select one of four pre-made characters. You don’t even get to change your classes gender, let alone know what class you’re actually picking, as the game doesn’t even tell you what avatar is what class.

Once you actually made your character, which shouldn’t take too long as the game doesn’t allow any customization, you’ll be thrown in the middle of town without any instructions or tutorial quests. Logic dictates that the you should find the nearest portal leading outside town, but in Xiah Rebirth, there are two portals leading outside town, and if you choose the wrong portal you’ll likely be killed immediately by level 40+ monsters. There is no reason a level 40+ dungeon should be located near the area where new players start off. This wouldn’t be a big issue, if the portal was labeled, but the game doesn’t even do that.

Once you actually start fighting, the game does get a bit better. Combat runs smoothly, skill points are gained quickly, leveling is fairly paced and the combat animations are impressive. New players should definitely start off by selecting one of the three melee classes, as mages are slower to level and expensive to play. Mages don’t start off with any spells, and don’t get offensive spells until they reach level 7+, and in order to actually get new skills, you’ll need to purchase them from the bookstore in town. Spells aren’t too expensive, but the game fails to inform players on how to get spells. I’ve spent 10 minutes fiddling around with the games clumsy interface trying to allocate my skill points, as the game never told me that I had to buy spells at the bookstore.
