Just a few days ago, Aeria Games got hold of the publishing rights for Grand Fantasia, a MMORPG developed by the Taiwan-based EASYFUN Entertainment. The closed beta phase is said to go online within the year.

Aeria Games has already opened Grand Fantasia’s official site, with videos and screenshot previews of what the game would deliver. From the trailer shown up front, the game seems to mix in MMORPG styles and virtual pet system elements. These pets, called “sprites,” would be integral to both battle and tradeskills. How these systems are streamlined together is yet to be seen. So far, we’re also seeing staple character classes such as magic-casters, sword users and archers.
